Is it normal to move to a cheaper area and then not be able to find any kind of job? It’s not possible to find a job before the move at the ?

Minimum wage level and most jobs require a local address.

Many places are cheaper to live because they are in a depressed job market. In areas with booming economies and lots of jobs, demand raises the cost of living.

Yes it is common. Rents are lower were less people want to live. One big reason for a place to be undesirable is lack of jobs.  YES it is possible to find a job before you move.  NO most jobs do not require a local address anymore. They used to a few decades ago but not as common any more.  Most jobs you apply online these days.

You would not be able to rent an apartment.  So there's that.
