This is a “slippery slope” argument. It compares one thing to something terrible and then says that the two things are linked, or that one causes the other, is no different than the other or something like that.
Don’t even bother trying to figure out an intelligent come back. Simply say that the two things are completely unrelated and call them out on how ridiculous it is.
The lgbt community got loads of slippery slope arguments hurled at us when we were working hard for marriage equality. Well guess what - we have it in the usa - at least for now - and the world did not end.
