If  you will pay their fees by the hour, you should be able to find one willing to take the case.  In such cases, they get paid no matter how good the case is or who wins.

If you want to hire the lawyer on a contingency basis, where they only get paid if they win, and the amount they get depends on how big the award is, I can see why you can't find anyone.  For a lawyer to work on such a case, they would need to be darn sure they would win a large amount from the city/town, and they clearly don't see your case in that light.

Where I live lawyers would be lining up to take any anti cop case for free. So I'm guessing maybe you just don't have a very solid case.

Are you sure you have a winnable case in his/her eyes? They may not think so.

You might have limited access to the internet. You might have difficulty reading. Your area might have a limited number of lawyers available for hire. There could be an endless list of reasons you're having difficulty finding a lawyer.

It's also important to understand that a police officer doing his/her duty is not an abuse of authority. If you're trying to sue an officer / police department / city as a result of an officer doing their duty, a lawyer isn't going to waste their time and put their license on the line pursuing a frivolous lawsuit.

The police and the sheriff and the justice system is a legal Mafia nobody wants to oppose them because they fear for their life! Friend don't think for a minute that the police exempt themselves from having you killed if they don't like you they might not do it themselves. They'll just ask one of their people a handful of crack cocaine and say we have a problem that we want dealt with

If you can't find SEVERAL lawyers, it usually means you don't have a legitimate case.

If you don't provide ANY information about the alleged abuse, that supports the conclusion there was no abuse.

In abuse of authority by the police cases most of the victims are poor. The blue wall is also a factor.

There are VERY well funded organizations that exist for the SOLE PURPOSE of suing police departments. Even a rich victim wouldn't have to pay a dime.
