Is Carlos Correa right that Jose Altuve didn’t want to take off his shirt because he’s had an ugly tattoo on his collarbone or no?
Altuve screaming at teammates not to remove his shirt after hitting the pennant-winning home run in the ALCS against the Yankees has led to accusations that the Astros were using buzzers to cheat last season.
Shortstop Carlos Correa blamed Altuve’s demands on an ugly tattoo. Reporters in West Palm Beach, Florida, got a look at it today, revealing the name “Melanie” after his daughter.
“The second reason that he don’t want me to talk about this, but I’m gonna say it, is because he’s got an unfinished tattoo on his collarbone, right here, that, honestly, looked terrible,” Correa told The Athletic. “It was a bad tattoo. And he didn’t want nobody to see it. He didn’t want to show it at all.”
