Cairan  ...  nobody is going to pronounce or spell that right.  That kid will be correcting people on it til the day they die.

I completely disagree.  I have to pronounce my name for people often.  I don't even think about it, much less bother getting annoyed by it.  Besides, I know a Vincent who constantly has to pronounce his name, so there's no guarantee with any name.

Do you mean Ruby & Sapphire as a middle name? Because I already have decided the middle name is going to be Blue lol.

Rosemary: too old for my taste

    Lavender: uncommon and pretty

    Orla: too close to Oral

Erin: like it more for a middle name

Jasper: never liked this name but it’s not bad

    Owen decent name

Cieran: I like it spelled Kieran but regardless it’s my favorite and I’d chose this one

Do not let some unknown, unseen person decide your babies name. This is a personal bond between the two of you.

    Rosemary for a girl

    Jasper for a boy.

By the way, you've misspelled Ciaran by inadvertently switching around the a and the i, which is an Irish name whose English counterpart is Kieran, pronounced as you say.  If I lived in Ireland or were Irish, I might be inclined to name a child that.  Being of English heritage, as nearly 90% of Caucasians in the United States are, I would lean towards the Anglicized spelling "Kieran," which also has the added benefit of being clear in how it's pronounced, not needing a pronunciation key like you gave.

Fionnoula is actually easier for non-Gaelic people to pronounce than Ciaran.  But regardless, as someone who used traditional Gaelic spellings for her kids in America, it's not at all a big deal to just tell people how to pronounce it. :)
