64gb flash drive that I'm locked out of.because I lost the password. is there any way to bypass the lock?

    That depends upon the exact device and the way the password works.

    If it’s just a simple lock and key process then using software to force a raw data dump from the device will recover your data but it will still be buried amongst loads of digital garbage, although that can be searched and also cleaned up.

    But if it’s the most common type these days then the password is also linked to data encryption. Without the correct password and the unique hardware fingerprint of the storage device and possibly of the device which stored the data, any data recovered is just encrypted nonsense.

    Passwords which are easy to sidestep are as useful as a rubber knife. So now that they are more often linked to secure encryption it’s the responsibility of the data owner to have methods of recovering their passwords and ideally to additionally store data with multiple redundancy on other devices and cloud storage accounts.
