There was a population of humans of a relatively few individuals around 75 thousand years ago but there was never just one.  Species are always a population unless they go extinct.

"the first true human" is meaningless.

There can't be any "first true human" independently from their group.

This is a Judeo-Christian vision of the process of humanization, and it's all wrong

"the first true human population" is better though arbitrary (Homo habilis, H.ergaster, Omo 1, etc. depending on authors). Whatever the earliest species that deserves to be called "human", they were 50 % male, 50 % female.

Male. The genetic information in sperm is needed to make a female.

The change from ape to human took about 5 million years. Where does one draw the line between ape and human? Is it when we first started walking upright, when we first became largely hairless, or when we first evolved a big brain. These events did not happen all at the same time. Chances are that the mutations that result in these changes happened in either the male or female, and the mutations can spread to future generations in both males and females.
