I have heard it said that tinned/canned vegetables are better than frozen mainly because they have all the goodness sealed in. Fresh is good but only if it  is FRESH, not left open on shop shelves for days on end.

.EggiesThe only canned veggies and fruits I buy are sweet or shoe peg corn, pineapples and mandarin oranges.

The only frozen vegetables and fruit I buy are frozen sweet baby peas and some precut mixed fruit for smoothies, like strawberries and blueberries. I also love to freeze fresh grapes for a simmer time treat that tastes like grape surbet.

All other fruits and veggies are either purchased in the produce section of the grocery store or at a farm market in the summertime.

Fresh or frozen.  Apart from corn kernels and beets, canned food is both aesthetically unpleasing and is rather salt.

canned last forever, frozen can be stored longer, but fresh tastes the best.

canned food is good for in a situation where all the power is off or when the fridge is broken, heck, IT CAN BE SAVED FOR 200 YEARS!! as long as the can isnt damaged.

frozen is good if you can wait for it to be served,

fresh is a immediately serve food

Absolutely -canned foods contain too much sodium, and are often overcooked.

Good reasoning, but consider another factor. If the fresh or frozen has a high carbon footprint (like being packed in Equador.

If I can't get fresh, I prefer frozen corn and asparagus and canned peas, beans, spinach and carrots. Broccoli doesn't come canned and I've never seen frozen beets.

Singles generally *must* use frozen -- if you use fresh it will rot before you can use everything.
