There's usually only 2 times when menstruation stops naturally, which is when the menopause comes, or if you become pregnant. The only way to stop it completely before the menopause is to have a hysterectomy.

Other times, health issues can result in your period being late or missed, like if you're ill, as a side effect if someone develops an eating disorder such as anorexia or bulimia, or due to stress.

Nothing short of a 'change of life' or having a hysterectomy.

Gosh some of these answers are ignorant!

You can take certain birth control( pills implants iuds) and many times skipping the placebos will stop your period.

Also uterus removal or perhaps special ablation. I havent had a period in 5-6 years fue to pills and i dont even skip the placebos.

Hey if its ok for people to take opposite sex hormones its ok for you to not want a period.

Yes you can have the hysterectomy, but that will put you into menopause.

A partial hysterectomy (removal of only the uterus) doesn't put a woman into menopause. A complete hysterectomy that includes removal of the ovaries is what puts a woman into menopause.

I had a total hysterectomy because cancer was suspected. I didn't have it, but you'd better believe that's the only reason my surgeon, a reproductive oncologist, performs such operations.
