where is the SD slot for my cannon camera?

    Behind the door.

    Depending on what camera you actually have, that door may just be for the memory card or would also be for the battery.

    Look for a door on the bottom.  It's usually next to the battery compartment behind the door.

    You could do what people with common sense do and read the manual.  If you have lost it, canon.com has them to download.   Note the spelling.

    Unfortunately, ma'am, we can't answer until you let us know which model of Canon camera it is that you have.  This DOES make a difference as my own Canon camera, an EOS 400D doesn't have an SD slot.  Mine uses Compact Flash cards.
