Will daily 5 dollar latte put a huge dent in your savings??

It could, depending on how much money you make. But also, what's the point of living if you don't get to enjoy it? If it makes someone happy to spend $5 on their fancy coffee, then that's fine. People work so that they have money to spend it on what they need and want. If they want coffee that's no big deal

Yes. I will not waste such. I am conservative and invest my money.

Yes... but for me it is the daily 5$ I pay for food.
I retired 4 years early (age 62), the government reduced my life time Social Security benefits by 25%.

I would imagine it would. Thats probably why many Americans have nothing at all in savings.
35 percent of all adults in the U.S. have only several hundred dollars in their savings accounts and 34 percent have zero. Only 15 percent have over $10,000 stashed away.

It certainly would in mine. I like coffee, but no coffee is worth $5 a cup to me!
