Are video games the hobby of people with no hobbies?

    I'm not sure but at least some of them likely split their time doing various things. I do.

    I don't consider playing video games to be a hobby, but some people do.

    That's a good question, just look into their life and see if the majority of them have major problems. It's probably instant gratification at the push of a button. In my hobby we have RC motor flying. They just flip a switch and off they go yet they poo poo on RC gliding but they also have the highest dropout rate with their motor planes. I used to be in a power club and watch them quit one by one.
