Isn't it strange that in football, the forwards are the attack and the backs are the defence. In rugby it's the other way round.?

I guess it is. I am a football follower, and only watch rugby if it is the 6 nations.

I watch because I love the physical contact and rugby shows what ******* footballers are when all you need to do in football is get within 2 yards of your opponent and they will fall down in apparent agony.

I don't understand the rules of Rugby or how the formation of the teams are made up.

In football a forward is someone who might score a goal and a full back will try and prevent one being scored against you. In rugby I have no idea.

What do you mean?.....Forwards are the defence... backs are the attack. Backs score many more tries than forwards.
      It's YOU who doesn't understand.
