If you buy some land in the uk. Can you just build a shed or something on it.?

I don’t mean a house or something but like a shed type construction. To perhaps stay or live in. Would it need to get a permit or something?? Need pay council tax?

You cannot just buy land and live on it unless the land has been approved for residential dwellings. This is why "building" land is many times more valuable than agricultural land.

If you use council services (which includes using a road) you must pay council tax unless you are a student in full time education or certain other excempted classes.

No you cannot live in any type of building without planning permission.

It depends on your local rules. Ask before building.

Depends on what type of land you purchase and if planning permission is given or not... even with the correct land you certainly can't build a 'shed' and live in it, you would not get permission to do that anywhere in the UK

Planning permission is not required provided that in the UK. The shed / greenhouse / building is used for domestic purposes only. The maximum eaves height of the shed / greenhouse / building is 2.5 metres if it is within 2 metres of the property boundary.

You could put a shed on it. However you would not be permitted to live in it.
