It helps you relax after a stressful day,

It's a way to meet and talk to people, make new friends, and is a social activity.

Good beer is safe to drink in areas where the water quality is suspect.

It's good for farmers who grow the Barley,

Beer is heavily taxed so provides revenue to governments,

Most of the containers are re-used or 100% recycled.

Beer does not contribute to plastic bottle waste as all bottles are glass.

Civilisation has developed more as a result of brewing. Most ancient cultures brewed alcohol.

It's an ideal drink with most foods or on it;s own.

And has been helping ugly people get laid for centuries.

1 negative is that you can do some very stupid things when drunk.

The positives are social interaction, gaiety, taste, release from stress and inhibition, tradition, etc., yet the negatives are greater, esp if one is prone to addictive behavior.

    It tastes nice

    It complements food

It makes people feel relaxed and comfortable

It can make a shy person feel less shy/awkward

It's a social thing to do

It keeps the people who produce alcohol in work

It keeps growers (of ingredients) in work

It can be easier in some circumstances

    Now I'm REALLY struggling!

It's not a healthy thing to do and, in excess, is dangerous.

No positives only negatives. No good at drinking, especially if you are too young or drink too much.

    Peace.

    Waste of money

    Get fat

    Do stupid stuff

Loss of interest in sex or crappy sexual performance

    Addiction

    Liver disease

    Guilt/shame

    Loss of relationships

    Loss of career

    Death.

Does that keep most of us from drinking?   Nope.   Most of us can drink responsibly.   But not everyone can.
