How do I paint over a plywood floor that already has polyurethane over it?

Is it as simple as may just cleaning the floor and painting right over it?

You'd do better to first lightly sand it, so that the new paint has something to adhere to, otherwise the poly may cause it to peel when dry.

I would give is a good scrubbing with TSP first to remove any dirt and grease or oil, Then sand

No. You have to strip the floor and then paint it. If you try to put on a primer and then paint over that, it will scratch really quickly, the paint will wear off, and look awful..

Mainly cleaning.  A light sanding to knock off the gloss of the poly on the floor would be good too.  Maybe read the side of the can for fuller details.?
