It makes the blood sugar go up.

Eating candy makes the blood sugar level go up, ma'am.  In a non-diabetic, however, this would stimulate the beta cells (islets of Langerhans) of the pancreas to produce more insulin in order to bring that level back down to the 'normal' range.

    It would go up.

How high it goes and how long it stays high depends on how well your body can process sugar.

Someone who is diabetic would have a high sugar spike that might take a long time to come back down.

Someone who is not diabetic would still have a sugar spike, but the body would quickly process the sugar to bring levels back down.

It will go up a bit but in a normal person your pancreas takes care of it quickly
