s fornication forbidden in Christianity?

    It's forbidden in the New Testament. I can't speak to the many ways different churches deny, dilute, or ignore that.

    Eph 5:3 But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints

    In all its forms yes. It is a certain death sentence. In NT Greek, fornication is "porneia" from where we get our word "pornography." It means all this:

    1- adultery, homosexuality, lesbianism, intercourse with animals etc.

    2- sexual intercourse with close relatives; Lev. 18

    3- sexual intercourse with a divorced man or woman; Mk. 10:11,12

    Absolutely

    The original Greek word translated “fornication” has a broad meaning. It describes all forms of sexual relations outside of marriage and focuses on the misuse of the sexual organs.

    Thus, fornication includes not only intercourse but also acts such as masturbating another person, as well as engaging in oral sex or anal sex.

    Those who practice such things will not inherit God’s kingdom.

    I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators.  First Corinthians 5:9

    Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind.  First Corinthians 6:9

    Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness. Galatians 5:19

    Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.  Jude 1:7

    For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication.  First Thessalonians 4:3

    yes, and its forbidden in the old testament, but many jews do not read the exact verse im thinking of . sex before marriage is prohibited, and yet, betrothal can be defined as the covenant of marriage. there are 3 or 4 types of marriage. you have consent which is called a civil marriage. you have a government sanctioned legal marriage, and you have men that are given authority by state and congregation. i.e. but probably not from God. and you have the keys of authority of the Holy Melchizedek priesthood that can bind people on earth, by the will of God and also bind them in heaven for eternity. nothing less than people that are worthy of the sealing promise of the Holy Ghost will have an eternal marriage, and even then some eternity covenants do not last.

    so, the pre requisite for having sex, i.e. the privilege of sex, is an eternal covenant that God and Holy Ghost and Keys of priesthood authority bind. before this, the fornicator will not enter heaven. see Cor and as it is written IN Christ there is not a man without a woman.

    I am not sure that anything is actually forbidden, except, one assumes, by certain churches. Some churches/sects forbid alcohol, for example. Most religions, including Christianity, are man made (not - not women!), albeit based on spirituality. Spiritual Law does not actually "forbid" things, but every action has a reaction. E.g. cause and effect, karma, reaping what we sow, etc.
