Can I become a cop with decreased peripheral vision in one eye?

So I had a previous brain surgery in 2011 to remove a benign brain tumor. I have since been clear and have no side effects other than a small decrease in my peripheral vision in the left eye. I’d say it’s a little less than 45 degrees. The rest of my vision is completely normal. Can I still become a police officer?

That would depend on the criteria the force wants that you are interested in.

State or Provincial police forces are more critical of standards than many municipal forces would be.

All police forces require good vision but how much the restricted field of vision in one eye affects anything would have to be checked out by the Eye Dr. doing the vision testing part of your initial application.
