I burnt through my savings when I was ill, I feel guilty and depressed?

I have mental health issues which I'm managing well now

Problem is when I was very ill I spent all my savings and I've even got into a bit of debt

I feel so bad about it, as I'm having to live sensibily now to pay off my debt

I'm worried my financial situation will change

How can I feel better?

Continue to pay off the debt and when you are back on track, treat yourself.  Whether it's a new outfit or a huge bowl of pasta and sea scallops in a cream sauce or a long bike ride - whatever does it for you.

its better than the alternative right? We do what we must...even if we regret it later...What most people dont realize is that it was necessary...You may not think so now...but at the time of depression or illness...whatever makes you even a little happier at the time is totally worth it dont you think.?

Are you working...are you rebuilding your savings?  That will help more than anything else.
