Let's say I had scoliosis and had spine surgery right after. A few months or years later, can I build muscles by going to the gym?

If I can, what are the only exercises allowed for me in order to build muscles in my body?

If you had server enough scoliosis that required surgery, then a recovery plan, that would have included PT, exercises and such. Would have been implemented. So you would know what you could or could not be doing and what would be geared for your particular issues.  Talk to the doc.
