Do gay people go to heaven?
I assume they do if they lived a good and moral life, right?

A person's salvation is not based upon their skin color, their gender, their sexual orientation, their education, etc....
So what is a person's salvation based upon? Jesus said we are to love God with our whole heart, soul and mind, and love our neighbor as ourselves. I think that matters.

Being gay is not leading a moral life, being gay is a sin against God. they must ask to be forgiven as we all do to be let into heaven. god last the last say on who goes where but we all have a free will and mind to choose as to where we go..

Sexual orientation is not a moral issue, since it is not freely chosen. Sexual behavior is a moral issue, regardless of one's orientation.

If they live a good an moral life, they will rise in the Terrestrial resurrection and receive its glorious, but inferior, reward. One has to live an exemplary life he one wishes to go to heaven.

If John 12:48 somehow allows for that understanding, otherwise it is Rom. 6:23.

People with same-sex attraction are supposed to practice celibacy like any other unmarried people. So yes, as long as those with homosexual tendencies don't act on such attractions they can still go to heaven.

There is no evidence for any form of afterlife but if heaven existed, I see no reason why someone's sexuality should affect whether they go or not. They did not choose their sexuality so their god knew they were gay from birth.
Christians have a get-out-of-hell-free card in that they can be as nasty as they like as long as they repent and ask forgiveness for their sins at the end. Presuming gay Christians do that, there is no reason they should not go to heaven according to the rules.

We all get the afterlife we think we deserve, which makes what Christians do especially heinous.
