Hi I'm not english so I wanted to know...?

Hi I'm not english so I wanted to know if when I write to someone "sending you love", the other person replies "sending love back" if this expression (sending love back) basically means "sending love to you too". I think that's the case considering that this person sent me xox at the end of that sentence but is that a common way to reciprocate your love for someone in english, even just in a friendly way?

    Yes your understanding is correct about "sending love back".

    xoxo means hugs and kisses.

    x = kiss

    o = hug

    Yes, that's what it means.  XOX expresses love but don't let it go to your head.
