Can somebody go to jail if they send death threats to their rapist?

    Definitely, yet unlikely at least from the first offense.  One wrong is not acceptable because of a different wrong.  Wrong is still wrong.  the question is more one of choice.  Is there a real choice or was that wrong act the only solution to the immediate problem?  There are few situations where there is an immediate problem that could cause a person to make threats to another person's life.  The very idea of a threat rather than an act is that the problem is not immediate.

    I don't know what the sentence is for sending death threats, but it is illegal for sure.
