How do I set up wage garnishment in QuickBooks?

Set up a current liability account Wage Garnishment Payable. If you're doing your payroll on QB you'll need to add a payroll deduction linked to that account. When you submit the payment to whoever, it will post to the same account. If you're using an outside payroll service, you will post the deduction as a credit to the WGP account.

You don't set up wage garnishment. Whoever you owe money does.
