Does this look like a form of asbestos? Please answer only if you know what you’re taking about. Thanks! It’s from an interior wall. ?

I want to demo the room, bust want to insure this is not an asbestos product prior to doing so.

Not likely. Some pre-1978 wall boards may contain a small amount of asbestos. It is primarily pipe/duct insulation. To be safe, use proper PPE and dust containment, because more likely it is lead paint.

Looking at it I would say not. More like Sundela board - which is low density wood fibres used for insulation (the same stuff notice boards have been made of for decades). This will still generate a lot of dust so you should still take precautions accordingly. That said more than 3000 building products were made of asbestos so a lot depends on the age of the building and the only way is to get it tested.

It appears to be a ceiling tile.  If you pull one down you might be able to get a manufacturer and date.  Then you can look it up.  Asbestos is for insulating and fire proofing so if it was intended for that, then it is possible.  In any event if you take it down, wear a dust mask and clean up with soap and water afterwards.

The only way to really know is to have it tested.
