Did the United Irishmen fail in 1798 because of sectarianism between Roman Catholics and Protestants or was it other things?

    Yes, mistrust between Roman Catholics and Protestants sectarianism they were riddled with informers and the British were better armed not every Roman Catholic and Protestant supported the United Irishmen it was a minority.
