Conceal carry in tennessee?

Hello! So i have a general question because i am wanting to go forward with it but do not know any restrictions and do not want to spend all kinds of money just not to be able to do it. I am wanting to get a conceal carry in the state of tennessee. I have been a local in my area 23 years now an have never left. I have no past felonies as well i do not have any drug charges nor a D.U.I... but i had a situation come up in late December of 2016 causing me to have a domestic assault charge on my record... i did not serve jail time after my court date nor am i doing any community service for it. Now would i need to get that expunged before i can go forward with getting my conceal or is something like that not an issue getting one?

For the purposes of legally carrying a weapon, there is NO SUCH THING as expunging ANYTHING. Your sentence is IRRELEVANT. If you were convicted, that is the ENTIRE story.

Contact your local department or prosecutor's office. They should be able to answer all of your questions better than some Yahoo Rambo.

NO, it's not an issue, that I can tell, however they have laws which will prohibit you from getting the permit if your only desire is to 'be armed.'  You will need to prove the NEED for the conceal carry  in TN.

    More here:

That said, you may be prohibited due to the FEDERAL statues of domestic violence and gun laws.
