atheists: how will Biden be able to argue against Trump on the economy?

If he lays into Trump saying that he has only benefitted the rich he will sound like Bernie who he despises, Biden being a moderate will surely acknowledge that Trump has done as good a job as he would have done on the economy.

The "Economy" is not the Dow-Jones average or any other measure of share prices. Many/most voters are not invested in the market, or only through their 401K. These gains are future rewards, and are not top of mind for the average employee. When the question comes down to "are you better off now than you were in 2015?", the answer will objectively be no. Workers have been screwed over since the Regan years, and GOP leadership will not improve their lot.

If it's Biden against Trump, Trump will win. If it's Mike Bloomberg against Trump, Mike will win.

Biden will know that most of the gains in the economy happened under Obama and that growth started to slow down once Trump was in office. Trump is trying to claim credit for all the growth that happened under Obama.

Trump's equal success on the economy doesn't mitigate the facts that he's a pathological liar,  incompetent diplomatically, a crook, and was a crook long before he became president.

The president is NOT in charge of the economy.  Trump *claims* that everything he does is better than anything anyone has ever done in history.  Only a fool believes him.  And only a fool thinks that it's good when numbers go up -- when they are rising slower than they were rising during Obama's terms.

    But, most Republicans ARE fools.

All Bloomberg should do is say to Trump, "You are a narcissistic buffoon who is incapable of telling the truth about anything."

Neither does the president have any control over gas prices or the stock market.

Really simple, dumbass. He inherited a booming economy. His best annual growth still is less than Obama's two best annual growths.

Probably the reason Biden will trump Trump on the economy is because every Republican president in the last 90 years left office with the economy in recession and the recession was reversed during the succeeding Democrat's tenure.
