What day of the week and time of day were the original Worzel Gummidge shown on British T.V when they first aired in 79 , 80 & 81 ?

    I found the day of the week- Sunday

    ( It started Feb 25th of 1979)

    No finding much information on what time it was on.

    I suggest asking a this Facebook page for  British TV of that era

    It may have depended on which TV region you lived in.

    I remember it was definately on a Sunday in the Tyne-Tees region, maybe around 11:30am or 12:30pm when they did the re-runs in the 2nd half of the 80's, usually followed by "Black Beauty".... then some news / politics / religion stuff 'til 3pm.... then "The Pink Panther Show", "Smurfs", "The Dukes of Hazzard" + "Super Gran".

      Yes I taped them around 1986/7 . I just wondered if it was ever on at prime time as its so famous  .
