Best to use shielding with radiation. The level coming from a computer is safe over your lifetime as long as your computer is properly shielded from the factory and you maintain it properly.

USB headsets are a different matter they are built for artists so there's no guantenee they are safe even if claimed so and maintained as per spec.

What type of radiation? Computers do not emit gamma rays, X-rays, or anything considered radioactive.

An extremely minute amount, yes. It is completely safe and way under the limit put in place by laws.

Prolonged use of anything has been medically proven to be detrimental to anyone's health.

No.  The amount of "radiation" from computer screens is mostly light and a small amount of electrical energy.

Nothing but sound comes out of any earphone.

The radiation scare comes from the WiFi radio waves or from cell phone radio waves.  It is almost certainly bogus and not any more of a problem than being in Denver and standing in the light of the sun.

Computers do not emit radiation nor do headsets.  That is a myth.

Possibly.  Depends upon the distance, the type of radiation, and the strength.  A patrol officer who cradled his radar trap gun in his lap got testicle cancer.  Was it associated?

But considering TVs, wireless devices, the amount of radiation in whatever form we get compared to decades ago is higher.  Now is it not as safe?  Unknown.  Anyway, probably too late now. We can only hope for a coronal mass ejection or an electromagnetic pulse, or some other huge event to terminate all electronics for quite a while.  But we would get lots bigger problems than a few health ones.

Source(s): My cell phone is only for emergencies, I use cordless phone on speaker only, and I am 8 feet from a TV, 3 feet from computer monitor, 4 feet from microwave when it runs, but have not thought about lead lined underwear for quite a few years. Decades of passage of time took care of that.

They are radio waves, which are all over this world, so the answer is no.
