Is is true that politicians want to get rid of all cars in 10 years because they say it pollutes the climate?

Some politicians probably want that but you would only see that kind of idiocy in big cities.  They want control and if you are forced to go on public transport that gives them more control.  WE don't have enough that simply fight for the citizens.

Many politicians have huge car collections. My breathing pollutes the climate too

I believe it was Elizabeth Warren who wanted to get rid of United States dependency on fossil fuel. I have to wonder how she Heats and air conditions her house, how she runs her car, and how she feels about airplane travel during her presidential campaign. All fossil fuels she freely uses herself. Laughable

Greta said so, and America listens.

Explaining that to you is a fool's errand........

Politicians tend to only be interested in their own re-election, although recent shifts in public opinion has seen even some Republicans starting to back away from climate denial.

Globally, politicians have done little to act on cars for decades, now the car industry itself is starting to move, with a number of the bigger players announcing they are going electric in the next 2-5 years. Hyundi already have several models, VW (one of the worlds biggest car companies) plan to go completely electric. There are also working versions of large transport trucks, even medium sized passenger planes.

This is all happening despite the inaction of politicians.

Nope, that's absolute nonsense. For example, why would they want to get rid of cars that don't use fossil fuel?

You can have electric cars or biofuel cars.
