# calc help?

A particle is moving with acceleration a(t)= 6t +16. Its position at time t =0 is s(0) =8 and its velocity at time t =0 is v(0)= 17. What is its position at time t = 14?

v(t) = ∫ a(t) dt = ∫ (6t + 16) dt = 3t² + 16t + C

and we're told

v(0) = 17 = 3*0² + 16*0 + C

and so

C = 17

s(t) = ∫ v(t) dt = ∫ (3t² + 16t + 17) dt = t³ + 8t² + 17t + D

and we're told

s(0) = 8 = 0³ + 8*0² + 17*0 + D

and so

D = 8

and

s(t) = t³ + 8t² + 17t + 8

then

s(14) = 4558

Equation is wrong. Velocity from the equation is 6 not 17. You will not get the answer.
