How far would the US get if suddenly the US government decided to conquer the world like Nazi Germany?
Assume the US people are united in this and there is no internal conflict.

US defense has always been based on us going it alone against Russia and China. NATO was put together to save Europe from destruction, not the US.
So, we could, probably, go all the way!

Not very. The U.S. people don't produce as much food as they eat or waste. They survive by relying on the food produced by foreigners. If everyone who wasn't American was at war with the U.S., then the U.S. wouldn't have enough food to conquer anyone.

the US has already done that, we did that back in 1944

They wouldn't get very fare. Just Russia, China and Europe have a far bigger combined military. The USA would have no overseas bases because they would be at war with everyone and have no allies. By the way, the USA have never won a war without allies. The USA had to pull out of Vietnam because it was a war they couldn't win, they would have no chance against every country on earth.

The people of the U.S. would never unite for that.
How far - not far at all. Conquering is one thing, holding on is another. We "conquered" Iraq but it cost billions of dollars and a couple thousand U.S. lives to deal with the insurgents. Imagine that on a world wide scale.
FYI - Nazi Germany didn't get very far. And what did they have? 3 good years?

That is an impossible scenario. The German people were in a worse depression than the rest of the world because reparations had been forced on them for starting World War One.

Man....If that were the case.......
