Do people with similar appearances have similar genes?

    Yes. Close relatives have similar genes, and identical twins have identical genes. Pigs look like pigs because their genes are very different from those of other animals. Bullfrogs look different from the cane toad because their genes are different. The genes of one bullfrog are a lot similar to those of another bullfrog, and they are more different from those of the toads than from each other.

    All people have extremely similar genes whether they are similar in appearance or not.

    There is only so many differences that a face can have. There are bound to be overlaps with no genetic connections between individuals. Look at all the Elvis impersonators.
