I don't know why everyone is guessing that it's the hard drive. Dying Hard Drives make clicking and grinding noises. A squeal coming from the HDD is possible, but this isn't too common.

Most likely it's a bad fan bearing or a coil whine.

There's a couple of plastic fans inside your computer one's on the CPU the other ones the cooling fan on the back of the computer it's not hard to find out which one is squealing. Just shoot one quick shot of dry Teflon lube into both of the fan motors with it off and wait a few minutes and start it up. Before you do that identify which one is squealing by just touching it in the middle while it's turning it's just a little plastic fan you'll find out in a second which one's squealing when you touch it when the squealing stops. It's also possible that the microphone is on boost and you're hearing a speaker microphone feedback and if that be the case just turn down the microphone boost inside the volume control

It could be a mechanical hard drive, a fan bearing, sometimes electronic coils can do this, like on a video card.

Either you are listening to Mariah Carey by mistake, or the bearing on your cooling fan is squeaking. Either of those would be my guess.
