When humans go extinct, will chimpanzees establish civilization?

That is, if they can repopulate before were gone.

Probably not - too small of a population over too narrow of a geographic range.

Civilization was unknown among living humans until after the invention of agriculture some 10,000 years ago. Chimps are simply not smart enough to inent agriculture. They cannot grasp the concept that if you sow some seeds, then you can harvest crops months or even years from today. No agriculture means no civilization. They will always be hunter/gatherers, just as humans had been for most of our existence as a species.
