Will there be a hard border between Ireland and the North in Boris Johnson's Brexit plan?

    No. Ireland and the UK already have a common travel area agreement that is independent of EU membership.

    The only way I can see a hard border being re-established is if Ireland joins the Schengen area so there ceases being border controls between Ireland and the other Schengen area countries.

    No one knows, but virtually EVERYONE is against that idea.
