Any type of running can make your legs muscular if you work out daily

Running and other cardio workouts tend to build lean/compact muscle. If you're hoping for bulk, then you need resistance (weights, for example) and to be male. Females can't naturally bulk up, but both males and females can add muscle.

it will make them muscular but if you really want to build up leg muscle I suggest riding a bike

If you do it literally every day you will probably shrink the muscles .. basically high impact beating ankles on pavement signals your body to drop weight.. sprinting on the grass, instead of hard pavement, once or twice a week is more likely to build your leg muscles, or running up a hill or a flight of stairs to turn it into more of a resistance exercise.. running every day will tend to give you a 'runners build'
