Least tax-friendly states:  Illinois, CT, NY, NJ.  Gee, if the taxes are so bad, why do so many super-wealthy people live in those states?

Why are some of the richest zip codes in the U.S. located in these states?  If we listened to Trump toadies, the wealthy and super-wealthy should be moving away from those states in droves because the taxes are so high.  But they're not moving.  In fact, two studies have shown that wealthy and super-wealthy people actually prefer living in so-called "high tax" states because they love the amenities their tax dollars buy.  Why do we listen at all to right-wingers?  Their dogma is always incorrect.

Jobs are a lot of it.  NYS requires you to severe ties with the state if you want to establish residency in a low tax state and still try to work in NYS.

Trump changed legal residence from New York to Florida. Florida has no state income tax and they can't take your house in Florida.

Rich people had to have made their money somehow. In some cases, they are still making it. And they go to work every day, they manage things. So where do you expect them to set up shop, Wyoming?

People are leaving those areas in droves. The only reason there's still people there is that you need to live there for certain occupations (particularly wall street). A lot of poor people live in those areas for the welfare and rent controls and the fact that they can benefit from the taxes paid by wealthier people.

Its backwards from the way you think it is.

There are high taxes there because people there are wealthy not like you think

'There are wealthy people because the taxes are high'

You mean like those red states, of course.  Red states annually receive $billions more in tax payer money from blue states than they send back.

The wealthy live there because the high taxes keep the minorities and the common folk out
