What does a 16 year old need to fly internationally alone?

    Proper travel documents (ticket, passport, visa if necessary, etc), as well as written and notarized permission from your parents allowing you to leave the country without them.  It should indicate who will be responsible for you at your destination country.  Other countries don't want unaccompanied teenagers wandering around, so they want to make sure there is someone taking care of you.

    a plane ticket

    a passport with a visa

    you will need lots of money also

    a hotel room reservation

    and you need your parents permission

    Children 12-15 years old: May travel unaccompanied, however, an adult must sign the Form of Indemnity the day of flight departure at the airport check-in desk. Children without this completed form will not be allowed to fly. Children under the age of 12: Must be accompanied by an adult 16 years or older
