Should I change just one or all ignition coils on a Porsche 981? Changed spark plugs recently (7 months ago) and now engine light is on and car misfires (only sometimes my 5th cylinder) and mechanic did diagnostic and said coils are bad

When I start my car it always starts but is about a 50/50 chance for my car to start without misfiring. Sometimes my car will start and misfire/backfire and is still drivable but feels harsh and doesn’t pick up speed, and sometimes it will start without misfiring and start normal.

You just need to replace the bad coil.

BS, Try pulling wires, one at a time. Geting 12volts to coil could Still be an open primary, secondary, or intermittent.
