-There once was a time when all people believed in God and the church ruled. This time was called the Dark Ages.- Richard Lederer

"FAITH. No one word personifies the absolute worst and most wicked properties of religion better than that. Faith is mind-rot. It’s the poison that destroys critical thinking, undermines evidence, and leads people into lives dedicated to absurdity. It’s a parasite regarded as a virtue."  -- PZ Myers

    It is in most countries:

13 Muslim countries officially punish atheism or apostasy by death, while "the overwhelming majority" of the 193 member states of the United Nations "at best discriminate against citizens who have no belief in a god and at worst can jail them for offenses dubbed blasphemy"

Even in the US, 7 state constitutions include religious tests that would effectively prevent atheists from holding public office.

When transiting or traveling to Gulf countries, I always check the "Christian" box of the immigration form.

Jewish and Christian people are considered by Islam as acceptable "People of the Book" when atheism is punished by death.

First, God has allotted to each a measure of faith, hence it is impossible to suppress, as it is part of being human [Romans 12:3].  That said, faith in itself means absolutely nothing.

Second, Jeremiah shows us how we can apply it to our own ruin or for our own good [Jeremiah 17:5-8].

It is foolish to hear God’s Word but not believe it or to put it into practice and to not build ones life on it. Jesus said, ‘The people who are really blessed are the ones who hear and obey God’s message [Luke 11:28]. James said something similar when he wrote, “Obey God’s message! Don’t fool yourselves by just listening to it" [James 1:22].

Let's recap: we can either trust God, the Giver of Life and Rewarder of Faith, or we can make 'flesh' (mortal man) our arm and pull curses upon our heads resulting in sullen discontent,  despair, and ultimately death.

It is in some countries. Become a citizen of Saudi Arabia, then proclaim yourself an atheist. Then learn to love being stoned. The establishment clause in the Constitution is really freedom FROM religion. If you don't like it, go somewhere wher Sharia law is in effect.

Your question is, by far, the most ignorant question I have ever seen on this forum.

Let's see.... faith is defined is believing in something even though you have no good evidence or reason to.... sure, let's make delusions legal

Why would it be illegal? God gives faith to whomever He wishes to have faith.

Believers hate freedom with a white-hot passion, don't they? It should be illegal for those who hate freedom to live in a country with religious freedom.
