Why do Canadians and Americans sound the same when they talk?

    They don't, they are similar but easy to tell apart. There are four major accents in the USA and two major accents in Canada and dozens of minor accents. Americans can hear differences between people from New Orleans and Boston, for instance, and they can hear differences between the USA and Canada.

    Actually Canadians have an accent which I find charming. For example, American say 'house' and Canadians say 'hoose, something like that.'

    No, we definitely don't.We might sound a bit like the people who live just on the other side of the border with the US.
