Edit recovery info on a web browser

Go to the Yahoo Account security page.   https://login.yahoo.com/account/security?.lang=en-...

Click Email addresses or Phone numbers.

Click Add recovery email address or Add recovery phone number.

Follow the on-screen prompts to enter and verify your new info.

Remove a recovery option - Use steps 1 and 2, then click the Delete icon  by the unwanted contact.

if you have the same number, you can recover it. or if you gave a recovery email, you can use that.

otherwise, just make a new one. and WRITE DOWN THE FLIPPIN PASSWORD! can't tell you how many people i've heard say "oh, i won't forget this one...". but when they never ask you for it, it's easy to forget.

Unless you have set up a recovery method you won't be able to. This is how to recover your account if you have password/sign in problems: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/SLN2824.html
