Should I attend the wake of an ex-girlfriend whose father didn't like me?

I once had a girlfriend whose father didn't like me too well. We later split up amicably, as we had to go different paths in life, but we kept in touch from time to time.

I recently found out she passed away. I would like to go to the wake, but I'm afraid her father won't appreciate my presence there, and that the tension might make others uncomfortable.

What do you think?

Go. It was an amicable break up. Nice gesture going.

If you even think you could make someone uncomfortable, stay home.

If you're that unsure, call her father and express your condolences and let him know you'd like to attend the wake in her memory. It's worth a try
