Either enjoy the sponsorship of a citizen immediate family member or have the mad job skills to qualify for a work visa.

Australia/US: What degrees do you hold in which field from which universities where? What post-master's (preferably doctorate) experience do you have doing what, exactly, how well & how long for whom where? Is this a STEM occupation in short supply, and for Australia is it listed on their shortage occupation list, & eligible for temporary employment visa (or for Australia, is it eligible for immigration)? IF you hold all requisite qualifications for a visa, and IF you can find an open position with a QUALIFIED employer, and IF you beat all the other candidates (expect 100-1000 applicants for any position which even holds prospects of a temporary visa), your employer will apply for your visa. You cannot apply for employment visas.

US: who is your immediate relative who is a US citizen, and who earns enough to support self + all dependents + you, plus has a suitable home for you in US? Are they willing to sponsor your immigration? Depending on your citizenship & relationship to your sponsor, it currently takes up to 25 years to get an interview for your visa. You must remain in your country of citizenship until you are approved for & receive an immigration visa.

Worldwide labor glut of a billion adults already with another billion on track to enter the world's workforces over the coming decade. Plenty of competition for jobs, and very few needs most places for any foreign workers, even temporary ones. You must have significant & needed expertise to go anywhere.

What do you have to offer either country? Figuring that out is the first step on your journey.

The ”United” states of America is extremely divided. Lots of racism. Lots of divisions amongst everyone. Before you come, these ”americans” need to work on their country first.
