Can you bring a stainless steel water bottle filled with water that is frozen solid? ?

Don't they need to see through the container to ascertain what's inside?

They can see inside with X rays.  They can see through commercial trailers with X rays to determine whether there is stuff in there that is ODD.  Ice is just frozen water.

Can you bring it WHERE? I could take one to work if I wanted to.

It wouldn't be allowed through a TSA checkpoint, even if it wasn't frozen.

Only empty bottles through security, fill them after security.

To the air-side of the airport?

    No, definitely not.

An item as such, would definitely be considered as dangerous.

You would be searched and detained, the liquid is tested.
