Better Movie: Saving Private Ryan (1998) or Apocalypse Now (1979)?

    I would say Saving Private Ryan, They even had Vets watching the big battle scene at the start, And they all said it was so realistic It was like being there for us all over again.

    I was never a fan of Apocalypse Now, but I did think Full Metal Jacket was interesting. I also liked Hacksaw Ridge

    I think Saving Pvt. Ryan was the better and more realistic film.

    The first, it was far more realistic and didn't go off into fantasy like the second one did.

      yes it did.  Almost like they copied the fantasy plot.

      yes, the original fulllength fullwidescreen fullsound version, with the film credits superimposed over the compound montage
