What are some reasons why Israel and Palestine should become a one state?

Honestly, as both Israeli and Palestinian peoples don't want such a thing, any reasons put forth as a reason FOR a one-state solution cannot outweigh those that put forth more sensible and viable solutions.

One I see being put forth is the idea that Israel and Palestine, as one state, would finally realize peace in the area. This is...idealistic at best, though for most people it's ignorant of the realities of both groups at this time. The Palestinians have made it clear through polling that they'd work to expel the Jews should such a solution be realized, and the numbers are too large to simply dismiss as mere anger at the solution. Likewise, the Israelis respond negatively to this idea, though the responses I've seen aren't as "colorful" in their rhetoric about how they'll respond.

Basically: Uniting will ignite a civil war. For anyone who actually studies the area, this inevitability is so blatant, but many commentators sit comfortably away from the land in question and work with fictional populations rather than the people who actually exist and live there. Unification, if it were to be realized, would require the populations to live separately and work on healing the distrust of each other that exists now. That'll take at least a generation; but, chances are, even peaceful generations wouldn't want that either.

Another thing I see being put out there for "a one state-solution" is the economic boon it *may* give. That isn't a given. The idea is that, without war, the funds used by Israel to defend themselves can be diverted to other projects. This could happen...though, more likely, the two populations warring with each other will cause greater percentages of the coffers of both groups to go to war funds. The economic argument assumes that certain things remain static after Israel combines completely with the Palestinian territories...however, people ignore that economic success found in places like Israeli factors using Palestinian labor rely on the current situation that protects Israeli interests. The security apparatus would be disrupted and that can change a lot of dynamics especially it that allows Hamas and vengeful Fatah members uninhibited access...and, I'll be blunt, their words aren't kind and their actions back that up. I wouldn't ignore stubborn Israeli elements either.

Unification would cause a paradigm shift and even if the populations aren't so hostile to each other, I do have to also question how well things will work out. For example, the current Palestinian leadership mismanages money horrifically, and I know that a lot of nepotism and corruption exists to protect familial interests and private wealth. Israel isn't free of it either, but I know it's really bad on the other side so it's worth bringing up.

People bring up other reasons, but as I've made it clear I look for solutions that aren't just fair but are viable. A lot of people expect Israelis and Palestinians to act perfectly, where one-state would just "work". It doesn't. Hell, the two-state solution is giving a lot issues but at least it recognizes a much more viable plan, one both have at least engaged with at some level.

Once you expertise this other-worldly country of abundance for yourself, you may perceive utterly why even the tiniest of those cities has been fought over incessantly throughout history. World Health Organization would not need to have the highest of 1 of those hills, searching across sensible landscapes, coated in vineyards that yield plentiful harvests for the best wines? World Health Organization wouldn’t be galvanized to color or sculpt or range the hills in search of gemstones to craft into exquisite jewelry?

"Palestine" is not and never has been, any sovereign state. The "Palestinian" Arabs have autonomy under the Oslo Accords, referred to as: the "Palestinian Territories". Although there is a: "State of Palestine" place-card at the Arab-dominated United Nations, in reality there is no such state. The term "Palestine" is the Roman-imposed rename of Israel / Judah.

There is no valid peace-solution as a “one-state” solution in regard to the Israeli / Arab dispute over the land of Israel (Roman-imposed rename “Palestine”).

The “Palestinian” Arabs’ “One-State solution” comes bundled with their false-“right of return” using the Palestinian unique, bogus, inheritable-refugee status, to dishonestly inflate their 500,000 unverified 1948 war refugees, into today’s alleged 5 million fake-refugees; a (fraudulent) means of “invading” Israel. The results of such dishonesty cannot therefore be imposed on Israel.

The “Palestinian” Arabs’ “One-State solution” therefore means either:

A claim by the Arabs to be Israeli rather than “Palestinian”, there being No-verification of Arab alleged-displacement from Israel, they would take over Israel by:

     > Millions of fraudulent-refugees (bogus unique inherited-refugee status awarded by the Arab-dominated United Nations - see below), and thus thereby using Israel’s democracy;

    Or by,

     > Simply Israel’s replacement by a “Palestinian” Arab state.

Is there an Israeli “one-state” scenario?

Yes: A recognition by Israelis of fact, that the “Palestinian” Arabs do not believe in any two-state solution but instead seek the destruction of Israel and the expulsion or murder of its Jews.

The “Palestinian one-state” scenario exists for the purpose of:

     > The destruction of Israel,

     > its replacement it with an Arab-only state,

     > with the Jews expelled or murdered.

However, the “Palestinian” Arabs continue to deceive the world that they seek a “two-state” solution.

When the Palestinians demand (as their education system teaches):

“free Palestine from the river [Jordan] to the sea [Mediterranean]”,

and “free Palestine from Gaza to Lebanon”,

these phrases exclude the existence of Israel.

The Palestinian education system practices mind-abuse, teaching:

False victim-mentality, hatred of Jews, that Israel does not exist (aka Palestinian false-claim to ALL the land):,me-examples-of-a...

The “Palestinian National Charter” seeks the expulsion of the Jewish People from the Jews ancestral homeland of Israel.

I hope the following will assist the reader:

Supporting the “Palestinian” Arabs is NO support for any two-state solution. Why? The “Palestinian” Arabs deceive the world into believing they seek a two-state solution, whereas in reality they falsely-claim ALL the land of Israel (to none of which do they have any verifiable-claim), and seek to expel or murder the Jews, from the Jews ancestral homeland of Israel.

Many people are unaware that there have been at least two major occasions when “land for peace” (in other words a two-state solution) was attempted, but rejected by the Palestinians because they falsely-claim ALL the land of Israel and wish to expel (or murder) the Jewish population.

    1) The first attempt at a two-state solution, was the “United Nations Partition Plan”.

    2) The second attempt at a two-state solution was the “Oslo Accords”.

    1) The first attempt at a two-state solution, was the “United Nations Partition Plan”:

Israel was Re-established in 1948 following a “United Nations Partition Plan” which had sought to set up two states, one Jewish and one Arab:

The then Palestinian Jewish Community accepted the U.N. Partition Plan, while the “Palestinian” Arab response was in 1947 to start a civil war to oppose the U.N. Partition Plan, instead take ALL the land of Israel, and to ethnically-cleanse or murder the Jews from the Jews ancestral homeland of Israel:

In 1948 the Arab countries attacked the newly Re-established State of Israel, but the Arabs lost the war. Jordan then illegally-occupied the West Bank, and also illegally-occupied East Jerusalem from which the Jordanians expelled the Jews. Egypt illegally-occupied the Gaza strip. Neither country offered these areas to the Palestinians.

(Please see the sources which I have put into the “Sources” area of this answer.)

Palestinian propaganda falsely-alleges the Re-establishment of Israel caused: a “great injustice” / “nakba” (“catastrophe” / “disaster”) to the “Palestinian” Arabs.

    In reality:

     > The Palestinians violently rejected the Arab state of the United Nations Partition Plan;

     > Jordan and Egypt occupied the land proposed for an Arab state under the U.N. Partition Plan (approximating to the West Bank and Gaza);

     > BOTH Arabs and Jews, became war-refugees;

     > The Palestinians falsely-claim with no evidence of any such policy that they were expelled from the land; Jews were indeed expelled by the Arabs as policy. Palestinians live and work in Israel.

Therefore the reader is entitled to be sceptical about Palestinian propaganda falsely-alleging a fantasy-injustice.

The Palestinians have two territories (part of the West Bank and the whole of Gaza) (or Palestinian colonies on land of the former Jewish kingdoms of Judea / Israel) which the Palestinians run themselves with their own army and police.

The following is how the Palestinians obtained these territories:

    2) The second attempt at a two-state solution was the “Oslo Accords”:

In 1967 Israel gained control of the West Bank and Gaza Strip (from the previous Jordanian and Egyptian illegal-occupation respectively) and as an attempt by Israel at “land for peace” under the Oslo Accords, Israel later granted the Palestinians autonomy for part of the West Bank (40%) and the whole of the Gaza Strip (anticipating a peace treaty until when the land remains Israel’s).

Once the “Palestinian” Arabs had tricked Israel into giving them autonomy of part of the West Bank (40%) and the whole of Gaza under the Oslo Accords, the Palestinians since:

Do not sincerely negotiate a peace treaty, falsely-claim ALL of Israel, and attack Israeli Jewish civilians as policy (see below).

No wonder anti-Semites display such emotional-support for the Palestinians!

The Palestinians are paid a reward-“pension” to murder Israeli Jewish civilians, including children:

    - - - - Start of extract: - - - -

“The Palestinian Authority Martyrs Fund is a fund operated by the Palestinian Authority for the purpose of paying a monthly cash stipend to the families of Palestinians killed, injured or imprisoned for involvement in attacking, assisting in attacking, or planning to attack Israel [...]”

    - - - - End of extract - - - -

Here is an example result from the Palestinian on-going anti-Jewish hate-war:

Israeli girl, Hallel Yaffa Ariel, aged 13, fatally stabbed in her bedroom in West Bank by a Palestinian terrorist, June 30, 2016, The Guardian:

The Palestinians could “upgrade” their autonomous status by concluding a peace treaty with Israel, but the Palestinians have this little difficulty namely, that they seek the destruction of Israel, want ALL the land of Israel, and the expulsion or murder of all its Jews.

The Jews are the indigenous people of the land of Israel:

The “Palestinian” Arabs falsely-allege Israeli Jews all came from Europe. Some Jews are returnee-exiles, since the Jewish People have Judean heritage. Yet the Jewish People are indigenous to their ancestral homeland of Israel, with unbroken presence there from Biblical times:

The Jewish People have had an unbroken presence in their ancestral homeland of Israel since Biblical times, and also previous sovereign states in the land, for example map of Jewish Hasmonean Kingdom of Judah (aka Judea) including the West Bank, Gaza, and Golan Heights, with its capital of (what is now EAST) Jerusalem / “Old City”.

    Between 110 BCE / 754 BH and 63 BCE / 706 BH:

By comparison there has never been a sovereign state of “Palestine” upon which the “Palestinian” Arabs could base any claim to the land of Israel. Following the Ottoman Turkish defeat in the First World War, the League of Nations in 1921 resurrecting the name “Palestine” from Roman occupation, authorized a British Mandate, whose inhabitants were known as:

“Palestinian Jews” / “Palestinian Arabs”. An administrative region, NOT a sovereign state, it was an area that later would be today’s:

Jordan, Israel, and the Palestinian Territories - Please compare the second and third maps down, at:

The prior Ottoman Turkish empire did not use any such political term as “Palestine”, but rather Ottoman-occupied Judea / Israel was within the Ottoman province of “Syria” (copy to your web browser):

The “Palestinian” Arabs may come from those who invaded and occupied the Jewish land of Judea / Israel. However, it is also unclear at what point they arrived there, since they were opposed to being called a “People” until the 1960’s, when they decided it fitted with their intention to steal the land from its indigenous Jews:

    I hope this helps.

Israel is already one state , the Palestinian Authorities operating in the west is not a state, Gaza is more of a huge open air prison than a state.

and the belief that "bigger is better" always applies

It should not happen, why giving half of the country to the invader ?

Imagine you accepted one day to host a friend in your house, he helped you manage the house, he was more educated and got a better Job, gave you more money to prepare food for him and his family, got richer, then asked you : or he takes the half of the house or he kicks you out of your property (forgetting all the good deeds you made) !!

Savage people like Zionists should not be negotiated.

The road is long but the owners of the land will get back Palestine.

Because the Pallies would agree to it. Then like what happened in Iran and all the Arab nations, the Jews are being driven out. Not going to happen.

Palestine is not a real place. It only exists on paper. It was created by a terrorist organization and one of it's primary goals in it's charter is to commit the genocide of every jew on the planet. One of the others is to take Israel. The reason is because the Qu'ran states that when Muslims control Israel and have eradicated the jews that Allah himself will come to earth and destroy all non believers.

So no. They can never be "one state" and there will never be peace between muslims and Israel.
